‘A lot of stress:’ Well-liked on the internet learning system to be phased out in Peel community schools

A well known on the internet system that quite a few community college teachers use to communicate with mother and father and post studying elements for absent learners could soon be scrapped in Peel Region.

The Peel District College Board despatched a memo to team on April 13 advising them that Google Classroom will no more time be available as of Sept. 2024 and that all customers will have to “transition” to the D2L Brightspace understanding platform, for which the Ministry of Training has a licence.

The board tells CP24 that it has decided that the new platform gives “superior privateness and stability protection” as perfectly as the “full suite of conclude-to-stop equipment that will profit our students and educators most.”
